Stretch – Because it Feels Sooo Good!
You made it – it’s Friday! Now reward yourself with a good stretch. It feels good to flex your muscles after a hard week at work, especially if you have a desk job. Unless you get up and move every hour, desk jobs make for a sedentary lifestyle. So a Friday stretch is not only well deserved, but desperately needed. So, enjoy – you deserve it!
Stretching shouldn’t be something you only do when you are tired or you wake up from a deep sleep, but something you enjoy daily.
Stretching your muscles keeps you limber and flexible which gives you more freedom of movement for your other activities. And it feels sooo good!
How to enjoy a Friday Stretch?
Try one of these:
- join a Yoga or Pilates class – your gym, YMCA, or a yoga studio would be happy to have you join them!
- buy a mat, clear enough space in a room of your apartment or home and begin stretching.
- use whatever time you have to reach for the sky and stretch, then bend and stretch. There are books about how to exercise at the office and stretching is a great no-sweat way to get in some exercise too.
